Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with the farmers on Friday and promised a justice to them over the land acquisition. Local farmers seem unhappy over the money they are getting by the government for the Jewar International Airport.
The UP government is to spend Rs 40 billion on land acquisitions for the Jewar Airport Projects, which has to start its operations in 2022-23. About 1,441 hectares of land, has been identified for the initial phase of the airport project. For the upcoming elections, it seems that the state government will successfully deal with the difficulty to showcase the project of BJP government.
The UP CM said “I assure the farmers a fair deal over the land, their concerns will be taken care of by the officials and the government. Meanwhile, don’t get misled by any of the opposition party leaders. The government understands the sentiments of the farmers and farmer’s interest will be taken care of.” said BJP MLA from Jewar Dhirendra Singh in his press release.
Shailendra Singh Chhaukar led the association of the village head. The grievances raised by the farmer are that the panchayat system has already ended and the compensation they are getting is as per the urban area whereas the land comes in the rural area. They are demanding the rates as per the rural land. The UP CM assured them that the legal process will be taken care of by the officials and a justice will be done to the farmers. After the discussion UP, CM gave directions to the officials for the land acquisition of the Jewar International Airport.
